Description
The Canary Island archipelago, also known as the Fortunate Isles, has given the world great musicians in all kinds of styles. This is the case of Kike Perdomo, a saxophonist from Tenerife who set up different groups in his home town and, now on the Peninsula, has become a well-known studio musician who has shared the stage with Spanish rock greats like Joaquín Sabina or Luz Casal, as well as historic figures in fusion jazz – Bill Evans, Richard Bona, Chuck Loeb, Anthony Jackson and Till Bröner, among others. So, we have here a true specialist in the art of placing his instrument within the idiosyncrasies of electric and electrified jazz. In fact, with his soft, sensual touch, Perdomo aligns himself with most creative schools in the classic jazz fusion genre. He is also accompanied by a top-class band including some of the best session players in the country.
