Description

He came to Barcelona five years ago. Two years back, he led a touching homage to Antonio Carlos Jobim to mark the 50th anniversary of bossa nova. He then played in a quartet, the same type of ensemble with which he recorded Café com Gelo, the seventh album of his prolific career. Recorded and mixed in Brazil, Portugal and Germany, Café com Gelo represents a perspective, taken from the city of Barcelona, on popular Brazilian music that is open and plural. It is an interpretation that results from the multiple influences that Lêmos has gathered around the world throughout his errant career: imbued with the multicultural spirit alive in the atmosphere of a city like Barcelona, that is becoming more colourful, welcoming and cosmopolitan all the time.
