The child prodigy of disco comes in from the cold. As if he didn't really mean to, at the age of only 23 and without moving from his Lapland home, the Finnish student Sami Liuski began putting out some of the most memorable dancefloor busters of the last few years under the name Bangkok Impact. The apple of the eye of VICE magazine and with a growing presence in Europe thanks to his connection with the Dutch electro scene, taking the form of a notable series of releases on the I-F label, Liuski established himself as one of the leading figures on the continental disco scene. A musician with his own way of looking at things and an enviable musical track record, knowing how to process the wisdom of the funk and electro classics to distil a personal and furiously modern line of his own, making us think of the disco of the future.
