With campaign medals going right back to the beginning of European acid and the Continental rave scene of the early nineties, the Hardfloor of the 21st century has no problem in occupying a space of artistic coherence, where underground activism goes hand in hand with remixes making room for themselves in the mainstream. Without ever abandoning the strong flavour provided by the Roland acid box, this pair of legends from the 303 have, throughout their career, always boasted of the healthy breadth of points of view incorporated into their discourse of potent hip hop and traces of electro, with which they shaped the cheeky route to redemption they called breakbeat. This philosophy, move from acid into the great wide open, is what also impregnates Hardfloor's sessions in the booth: old-school celebrations for the connoisseur, where veterans show off their medals with pride.
