Today, two performers born and trained in Japan bring us songs from various places and some of the most popular opera areas of all time. Akiko Kuroda specialises in Spanish songs. With a master's degree from the University of Tokyo, she taught in Mozambique for two years and, finally, moved to Barcelona, where she is studying with Montserrat Aparici. For her part, Yoko Suzuki is extending her studies at the Marshall Academy and has recorded Japanese and Spanish repertoire on disc.
