The young composer and saxophonist David Salleras and the double bass player David González, both trained at the Liceu Conservatory and in other well-respected music centres in Europe, make up this sonic project, which is unique in this country. Under the name Mínima Distància v. 2.0, it is a project “beginning with the need to experience classical music based on modern sounds, recovering the idea that what is popular is what inspires us to go further”. Salleras’ musical language fits into the popular tradition, although it is inspired in classical forms and in the language of composers like Piazzolla or Albèniz.
