The Ganzer Tarrús Duo, consisting of the flautist Jordi Tarrús and the pianist Gemma Ganzer, was founded in Barcelona in 2006. Now with more than five years’ experience, the duo cover a wide repertoire running from baroque to contemporary music. In the first programme, they offer us the chance to enjoy one of the great names of Romanticism, Johannes Brahms, through the first of the three violin sonatas composed by the German genius, usually known by the name “The Rain”, as it makes reference to some Brahms songs based on an elegiac poem by Klaus Groth symbolically incorporating the rain. In the second programme, with a more contemporary feel, they will offer us the Sonata by Muczynski, winner of an international composition prize in 1961.
