As the star of the Jamboree Jazz Lab Sessions for January, the singer and instrumentalist Gemma Abrié unveils different facets of her art. Often research in artistic creation ends up going beyond the work itself and comes to be a vital search. And a vital search ends with vital finds. The duo we present you with is one of those finds, coming together in life and work with a single objective: communicating human emotions and concerns. And the vehicle for transmitting all these emotions is certainly rather unusual: two double basses and two voices. With the destination and the vehicle very clear, all we need to do is enjoy the ride: a ride around the world through jazz, pop, South American folk, boleros, chanson and a few other surprises.
