Raül Reverter began his studies at the age of 10 at the Municipal Music School in Les Franqueses del Vallès and then studied the saxophone at a higher level at the Liceu Conservatory. Alongside this, he studied with Perico Sambeat and Eladio Reinón in Barcelona and with David Bynnie and Seamus Blake in New York. He has taken part in various seminars and masterclasses with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Michael Brecker, Bruce Barth, Bob Mintzer and Horacio “El Negro” Hernández.

He has played with big line-ups: Roda de Saxos, the Vic Big Band, the Taller de Músics Big Band, the Sedaví Big Band (leader Mike Philip Mossman), the Terrassa Big Band, Barcelona Jazz Orquestra accompanying musicians like Pat Metheny, Melva Houston, Jerry González, Deborah Carter, Lew Tabackin, Denis Rowland, Silvia Dotre, Laura Simó and Carme Canela, among others. He has also recorded with Joan Vinyals ( Blauet), Raynald Colom (Sketches of Grove), Carles Margarit Group (Ahí té quedas!), Ramón Díaz Group, Giulia Valle and Marc Ayza.

In 2001 he recorded the Sofas, telèfons i dibuixants de còmics(Freshsound) as leader, with Jordi Farrés, Rai Ferrer and Esteve Pí. And, in 2009, his second album Trops’s in jazz (Adlibarts), dedicated to serial music with Jordi Farrés, Tom Warburton and Toni Pages. In July 2002, he played with the European Jazz Youth Orchestra led by Django Bates, making a European tour playing at various jazz festivals (Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal). In October 2004 he took part in the European Jazz Odyssey project (Amiens, France) playing with Bobo Stenson and Tomas Stanko. He has worked with the cinema composer Carles Cases in different projects and has recorded for the films: La vida Abismal and Barcelona, un mapa by Ventura Pons and Oviedo Expres by Gónzalo Suarez. He took part in the No era lluny ni difícil project with the Julià Carbonell Symphony Orchestra, music by Carles Margarit and poetry by Joan Margarit.
