Music concert SID GRIFFIN in Barcelona

As leader of the Long Ryders during the eighties, Albert Sidney “Sid” Griffin shook the coordinates of the American sound. Neither folk, nor rock, nor country but at the same time a little of all these, the group was hailed as blazing the trail for what is now known as “Americana”. At the age of 60 he not only continues performing, he also maintains his talent for providing new ingredients and setting new trends. In a way, he preserves the authenticity of the pioneers and shows himself to be open to incorporating new registers, as he expressed with his nineties group the Coal Porters. He combines his composition and stage performances with research work and knowledge that has led him to write some of the most outstanding books on figures like Bob Dylan and Gram Parsons, and music like bluegrass. At the Jamboree, he presents his first solo album for a decade: “The Trick Is To Breathe”.
