Vicente Espí drums, Vicente Macían tenor sax, Albert Palau piano, Dee Jay Foster double bass.

In 2010 we were able to appreciate his art paying tribute to John Coltrane; now the Valencian Vicente Espí returns to the Plaça Reial club to present his latest album Dog Sounds (RZB), on which he has worked with Masa Kamaguchi, Albert Palau – who are present at this concert – and Javier Vercher: musicians as illustrious as Macián and Foster, who are taking part in this top-class session. Espí and his men perform enigmatic, penetrating pieces with a ‘60s jazz flavour, written by the drummer for his album with its canine name. A follower of Daniel Humair in Paris, Espí made his debut in the French capital in the company of the guitarist Nguyên Lê. He has worked with Perico Sambeat, Albert Bover, Kirk McDonald, Abe Rabade and Fabio Miano, among others, and today he is a leading figure on the Valencian scene.
