Description

Born in South Korea in 1990, Min-Sung Lee was trained at the Sun Hwa Arts School and the Sun Hwa Art High School and is currently completing his studies at the Seoul National University under the supervision of the lecturer Hyoung-Joon Chang. In his country he has received many awards, such as First Prize in the Ewha Music Competition; First Prize in the Seoul International Piano Competition; First Prize in the International Brahms Competition and First Prize in the Dong A International Music Competition, the most prestigious piano event in the Asian country. In 2015, he won Second Prize in the 61st Maria Canals International Music Competition where he gave a masterful performance of what many consider to be the maximum expression of the Romantic concerto, Tchaikovsky’s Concerto for piano and orchestra num. 1, a very intense work. Min-Sung Lee has also played Grieg’s piano concerto with the Sun-Hwa Symphony Orchestra of Seoul and Beethoven’s Concerto num. 5, and has performed in the principal concert halls in the Korean capital.
