If you don’t yet know who Perc is, the titles of two EPs he brought out at the end of 2012 could help you to get to know him better. ’A New Brutality’ and ‘Pure & Simple’ are not just the names of the discs in question, they are expressions that define his music perfectly: direct techno, without concessions or flourishes, boiled down to the minimum expression to achieve the maximum effect, with strong industrial influences. Following in the wake of people like Chris Liebing, Ben Sims or Regis and via his own label Perc Trax, over the last few years he has gradually become an essential name in techno.
