María Vizárraga cante, Eli Santiago cante, Juanjo de Nayeli cante, El Perla toque, Manuela Ríos dancing, Costi El Chato dancing.

This week’s group take their name from one of the most marginal districts of Seville built, like many others, to deal with the need for housing in Spanish cities in the face of the great population growth of the sixties. This district, and more specifically the difficult area of Las 3000 Viviendas, is not only a synonym for poverty and social exclusion, it has also been a focus for creativity and art in the land of flamenco, having seen the birth of artists like Rafael Amador, Juana la del Revuelo, Ramón Quilate, El Varilla and the cantaora who accompanies us this week, María Vizárraga. This true matriarch of cante has a voice that tears all the expressive strength and depth from jondo and trips gracefully through the more festive palos. With this, she has won the respect of all flamenco fans and connoisseurs and has been able to work with the very greatest: artists, such as Juana Amaya, Torombo, Joaquín Cortés, Remedios Amaya, Farruquito, Niña Pastori and Rocío Jurado and a long list of others.
